Story Massage is a programme developed by Mary Atkinson and Sandra Hooper. It has been widely and successfully used with children of all ages in a variety of settings across the globe.
Story Massage combines the joy of story telling with the benefits of positive touch. It can be shared as peer massage between children in the classroom or between adult and child in the home. Story Massage is carried out in whatever position the child feels comfortable; be it seated, standing or lying down and children remain fully clothed.
